Turning craft skills into assets
Using smart glasses, XR and AI, SHUGI records and structures an expert's field of view and movements as data and passes them to the next generation. Progress is quantified through AI-based "synchronization rate" analysis.
Confirmed in a trial with 30 people over seven months. The figures are the results of that trial.
The results have been published as peer-reviewed international conference papers.

USEYA CO., LTD. is a system development company founded in Osaka in 2008. It specializes in development using XR, AI and spatial computing, and has been running XR trials since 2013. Alongside core system development and DX support for the public sector, digitizing the skills of experienced workers is a pillar of its business.
SHUGI is a platform developed by USEYA for turning craft skills into assets. Using smart glasses, XR and AI, it records an expert's field of view, movements and procedures as data and stores them in structured form. A learner's progress is quantified through AI-based "synchronization rate" analysis. It is used for skill transfer and training in manufacturing, construction and infrastructure maintenance, and we are also researching how to transfer recorded skills to robots.
UAI (USEYA Advanced Industry) is a testing facility operated by USEYA in Izumi, Osaka. It houses an advanced experimental lab, an AI integrated control center, XR environments and working robots. Hands-on demonstrations and filming for news organizations are available (allow 60–90 minutes).
